If you prefer to travel to the circuit by public transport, travelling by bus is the best option.

Use so called Catch-a-Coach service

Choose from convenient one-way trips between Melbourne and Phillip Island, with flexible options to suit your schedule.All services in Melbourne start and end at the Southern Cross Coach Terminal. The one-way tickets cost around 35 AUD.

Departure Times for Phillip Island
Friday: Coaches leave Southern Cross Station from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM
Saturday: Coaches depart between 6:00 AM and 10:30 AM
Sunday: Coaches set off from 5:30 AM to 8:30 AM

Arrive at Southern Cross Coach Terminal within these timeframes to board the next available coach.

Pick-Up Locations
Melbourne CBD: Southern Cross Station Bus Terminal
Cranbourne (Sunday): Cranbourne Highway Service Road, in front of KFC (Departs at 7:30 AM)
Clayton (Sunday): Monash University Clayton car park, off Wellington Road (Departs at 7:00 AM)

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Points at Phillip Island
All Track Express coaches drop off and pick up at Gate 3 on Gap Road at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, with a few exceptions:
Thursday: One-way trip departs at 2:00 PM from Southern Cross Station, dropping off at Gate 1 and then at Cowes V/Line Bus Stop (Thompson Ave/Chapel Street).
Monday: One-way trip picks up from Cowes V/Line Bus Stop at 11:00 AM, followed by Gate 1 at 11:30 AM.

Return Trips from the Circuit
Friday and Saturday: Coaches leave between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM
Sunday: Coaches depart between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM

Please ensure you reach Gate 3 before the circuit gates close to catch the last coach back to Melbourne.

Shuttles

Four dedicated Grand Prix Shuttle routes provide convenient transport to and from the circuit:

• Cowes Central
• Cowes West-Ventnor
• San Remo – Cape Woolamai
• Rhyll - Silverleaves

Shuttles run from Gate 1 of the Circuit until 6:00 PM, and from the Grand Prix Circuit Visitor Centre Car Park from 6:00 PM until midnight. Tickets cost 18 AUD for a day pass or 10 AUD for a one-way trip (available for return journeys from the circuit and during the evening service only).
